11/27/2013 Prize Winners Announced!

Let’s Move Outside! (LMO!) participants, partners and sponsors joined for the announcement of the winners of the 2013 Erie County Recreational Passport on Tuesday, November 26th at 5 pm in the Admiral Room at the Blasco Library.

And the winners are...

The 1st Prize, which is a $500 Gift Certificate from Lake Country Bike in North East, was awarded to Shelly Main. The amazing team at Lake Country Bike looks forward to helping Shelly choose a bike that is right for her and perfect for having fun.

The 2nd Prize, which is a 2-Night Cabin Rental at the YMCA’s Camp Sherwin, was awarded to Kathy Leemhuis. YMCA Camp Sherwin, an outdoor family and recreation center in Lake City, was first established in 1912. Camp Sherwin offers stairway access to the beach, plus 70 acres of play fields and towering trees. For the outdoor and sporting enthusiast, our amenities include guarded pool with aqua climb wall, playground, basketball court, Bocce/horseshoe court, baseball/soccer field, hiking trails, and a fully stocked catch and release fishing pond.

The 3rd Prize was donated by the American Heart Association and is a $100 Erie Sports Store Gift Certificate. Steve Branton was awarded this prize. The Erie Sports Store offers a huge selection of sporting equipment - much of which is perfect for spending time outdoors!

Congratulations, again, to our prize winners and to those who qualified!

To be eligible for prizes participants needed to register and create a profile on the website www.letsmoveoutside.org. After walking each trail participants documented the pass keys located on each trail marker and logged it in their profile.  Once all 15 pass keys were entered they were automatically entered to win prizes.

The LMO! Erie County Recreational Passport project is a free program, offered to Erie County visitors and residents.
